FireFly10 is the compact cousin of the Firefly Lightjar. Same mason-jar flip-on idea — camp, outage, patio — built around a pre-programmed ATtiny10 (6-pin, 1 KB flash / 32 bytes RAM) — firmware tuned to the bone, no programmer required.

You still get the winning UX from the standard kit:

All of that lives in a tightly optimized image — no fat libraries.

SMD soldering practice

Unlike the through-hole Lightjar, FireFly10 uses surface-mount (SMD) parts. That makes it a friendly way to practice soldering SMDs — real pads, real flux, real tiny packages — while still ending up with a useful camp light when you’re done. The ATtiny10 arrives pre-programmed — same as the Lightjar’s ATtiny85.

If you’ve only ever done through-hole and want to level up without a scary first board, this is the kit.

Makers who want FireFly UX in a smaller MCU footprint, beacon/SOS gestures for trail and outage use, or a first real SMD soldering project. Prefer classic through-hole ATtiny85 simplicity? Start with the standard Firefly Lightjar.
