Building a FireFly kit? This is the place for build help. Each kit has an interactive parts list (an “iBOM”) that shows the board and every part on it.

How to use it: click a part in the list to highlight exactly where it goes on the board, and tick its checkbox as you place it so you always know what’s left. It opens in a new tab, so you can keep it up next to your soldering station.

Choosing a jar

Both kits fit a wide-mouth mason jar or a wide-mouth pickle jar. The board is 68.6 mm (2.70 in) across, so the inside of the jar mouth has to be at least that wide. Regular-mouth jars are too small. If you’re not sure, measure the opening before you start.
